Microsoft confirms that Windows 11 will receive one feature update each year.
Last month, Microsoft launched Windows-11, which included a new design, app icons, and a prominently located Start menu. The deployment is anticipated to begin later this year, and new PCs will come pre-installed with the software. Users of Windows 10 can update to Windows-11 free of charge. Members of the Windows Insider program can now test it. Every year, Microsoft also announces the feature update schedule for Windows-11. It has been confirmed that just one major feature upgrade for Windows-11 would be released each year, with monthly quality updates for security and bug fixes.
On its official support site, Microsoft has outlined the feature update and quality update deployment schedule for Window seleven. For Windows-eleven the second part of each calendar year is slated for upgrading, said the business. This is in contrast to Windows 10, which receives two big upgrades per year. According to Microsoft, Windows eleven and Windows 10 devices will continue to get monthly quality upgrades that include security and bug fixes.
Microsoft has confirmed that the Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, and Pro for Education editions of Windows-11 will be supported for 24 months after the public release date. Additionally, Windows-11 Enterprise and Education editions will be supported for 36 months beyond the public availability date.
Given the lengthy nature of Windows-11 adoption, Microsoft promises that devices running in-service versions of Windows 10 will continue to get monthly security upgrades as well as incremental improvements to Windows 10 to enable continued Microsoft 365 installations until 2025.
Microsoft stated that it has worked with all key silicon partners, including AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm, to guarantee that Windows-11 can be installed on the majority of devices currently on the market. Windows-11’s minimal requirements, on the other hand, are not as light as Windows 10. Windows-11 will require a CPU that is 64-bit x86 or ARM, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Compared to Windows 10, at least 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage are required.
Aside from the new centrally located Start menu, Windows-11 also improves multitasking and PC gaming. To provide users a new experience, Windows-11 includes new backgrounds, animation effects, and noises.
